Ideally located just 75 minutes north of Boise, approximately 55 miles north of the intersection at State Street and Hwy 55 to mile marker 103, approximately 15 miles north to Casade, about 22 miles north to Tamarack/Donnelly, and 55 miles will take you to McCall, Payette Lake and the Brundage Ski Resort.

Nearby recreation areas include Herrick Reservoir, an active irrigation source which can also be used for swimming, non-motorized boating and fishing. Fishing is stocked and managed by Idaho State Fish and Game Department.
Boise National Forest lands provide designated hiking, biking, horseback riding and motorized trails, which include 4x4ing, atv’s, motorcycles, and dune buggies. Winter sports include groomed snowmobile trails and cross-country skiing, which can be accessed by stepping out your back door. Formally groomed cross-country skiing trails are nearby.
Cascade Lake about 12 miles north provides sail and motorized boating. Tamarack Resort approximately 15 miles north of Cascade promotes year around recreational activities including golfing, skiing, snow boarding, and boating.
River rafting and fishing on the Payette River is a few miles to the west.
